Art on the Farm Weekly... October 25, 2009; Annual Group Show at Point Reyes Vineyards!

This weekend, Sunday, October 25th is the Annual Harvest Celebration of Art on the Farm at the Pt. Reyes Vineyards. This is the show were everyone involved, well over 100 artists, show up and share their art. Many of the paintings are hung on hay bales! It is really fun and festive to see. I hope we get a lovely day with warm sun shining on the vineyards. I may even paint on Sunday if the weather permits. Of course, there are always wine and oysters to warm you up if it is chilly. a benefit for Marin Organic
Rt. 1, just outside of Pt. Reyes Station, California

This year's benefit will include acoustic voice and guitar music by Dianne Zellers and Friends, organic oysters from Drake's Bay Family Farms, grass-fed meats, and organic cheeses. Wine tasting room is open during the day.  Buy a bottle and enjoy as you peruse 100's of works by local artists.  Picnic on the lawn, listen to music, shop for art, all while enjoying spectacular Tomales Bay views.

Art on the Farm Weekly... Show at Marin Center

Thank you to The Friends of Marin Center, and the Marin Arts Council for a lovely reception for the Art on the Farm show, April 19th. We learned that Lynda Larsen sold her painting of Stewart Ranch Barn that graced our group show poster for last year. This show is unique in that it is only viewable by those who attend a show at Marin Center, and have the luxury of intermission and gallery viewing with refreshments. Our next show will be in San Geronimo Valley at the Cultural Center, and more easily accessible by the public. Below are some photos of the reception, which was well attended by many of the artists.

FROM 101 NORTH (From San Francisco):
Take the North San Pedro exit, and go east.
Turn left at the first light, Civic Center Drive.
The Center is 1/2 mile down on the right, just past the lagoon.

FROM 101 SOUTH (From Santa Rosa):
Take the North San Pedro exit
At end of off ramp turn left onto Merrydale
At traffic light turn left onto North San Pedro Road, and go east under the freeway.
At the first light, turn left onto Civic Center Dr.
Follow Civic Center Drive approximately 1/2 mile.
The Center is on the right, just past the lagoon

It was a gorgeous and busy day at Claudia Chapline Gallery in Stinson Beach. We kicked off the opening of "Art on the Farm" with a great crowd. From left to right are: Alan Mart(founder of Art on the Farm), Claudia Chapline, Chris Adessa, Christin Coy, and Richard Lindenberg.
